Art of Training | Sunshine Coasts Family Focused Martial Arts Gym
Looking for Muay Thai on the Sunshine Coast that’s more than just punching pads?
Art Of Training Sunshine Coast is a coached martial arts community built around real skill development, great coaching, and an environment where people actually enjoy showing up.
We’re not a big commercial gym with people left to figure things out on their own. Every session is coached, every class has purpose, and every student is supported whether they’re stepping onto the mats for the first time or have years of experience behind them.
Our focus is simple: helping kids build confidence, discipline, and resilience, helping adults improve fitness, learn real skills, and enjoy training in a positive, welcoming environment.
Located in the Meridan / Little Mountain area, Art Of Training Sunshine Coast offers Muay Thai for kids, teens, and adults, along with private Muay Thai coaching for those wanting a more personalised approach.
Whether your goal is confidence, fitness, self-defence, competition, or simply finding a great place to train, we’re here to help you get there.
What Makes Art of Training Different From Other Gyms On The Sunshine Coast?
There's no shortage of gym options on the Sunshine Coast. Here's what separates us from the rest.
Every class is coached. There's a qualified coach in every single session. Not watching from a distance, actively coaching technique, correcting movement, and pushing you to improve. This is the biggest difference between what we do and what a standard gym offers.
Training that actually progresses. Our programs are structured and progressive. You're not doing random techniques, you're following a structured program that builds on itself week to week, so you get measurable improvements over time.
A community that keeps you accountable. One of the hardest things about fitness is staying consistent. Training with the same group of people, coached by people who notice when you're not there, solves that problem in a way a solo gym membership never can.
Our Programs:
Muay Thai
Our adult Muay Thai classes develop striking skills, fitness, coordination and mental toughness, in a structured, beginner-friendly environment. One of the best full-body workouts available, and genuinely enjoyable to train.
Perfect for: adults wanting a fitness program that's also a real skill, people who get bored of conventional gym workouts, and anyone who wants to feel more capable and confident.

Kids and Teens Classes
Muay Thai for children aged 5 through to 17. Coached by qualified instructors who understand how to work with young people, building confidence, discipline, fitness, and real skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Perfect for: parents looking for a structured, high quality after-school activity that builds more than just physical fitness.
Personal Training
One-on-one coaching with our qualified personal trainers. Fully individualised programs built around your specific goals, schedule, and starting point, with the accountability of a coach dedicated entirely to your progress.
Perfect for: people who want fully individualised programming, those recovering from injury, and anyone who wants faster results with personal attention.

FAQs
Is Art Of Training a regular gym?
We're a coached training facility rather than a traditional access gym. Every session has a qualified coach running it — which means you get more guidance, more accountability, and better results than a standard gym membership typically delivers. If you want equipment to use independently, a 24/7 commercial gym might suit you better. If you want coaching, community, and programs that actually work — you're in the right place.
Is it beginner friendly, Do I need any experience?
None at all. We regularly take complete beginners and coach everything from the ground up. Your first few sessions will focus on movement quality and getting comfortable — we progress from there at a pace that suits you.
Can I try before I commit?
Yes — your first class is free, no strings attached. We also offer a 14-day full access trial for $39 that lets you try any and all of our programs before deciding on a membership.
How often should I train?
Two to four sessions per week delivers excellent results for most people. We'll help you figure out what works for your schedule and your goals.
What should I bring?
Comfortable training clothes and a water bottle. We’ll guide you from there.
What programs do you offer? Muay Thai for Kids, Teens and Adults. Along with private training available by appointment
Do you offer personal training?
Yes. Our qualified personal trainers offer one-on-one coaching tailored entirely to your individual goals. Get in touch or visit our personal training page to find out more.
